Shrimp cocktail on avocado and cherry tomato salad

An easy and delicious recipe.

  • 500g garlic fried shrimps
  • 2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 5 tbs Robertson Fish spice
  • 200ml Helmans mayonnaise
  • 200ml double cream yoghurt
  • 2 lemons juiced and zested
  • 40g sweet peppadews
  • 100ml sweet chilli
  • 2 ripe diced avocado
  • 1/2 a cucumber
  • 10 firm ripe cherry tomatoes
  • 100g Crushed garlic
  • 1tsp pink salt
  • 2 lemons to garnish
  • 1 bunch of chopped parsley


  • Blend the mayonnaise, yoghurt , fish spice, cayenne pepper, peppadews, parsley, garlic, lemon juice and zest with the sweet chili into a dressing.
  • Add the shrimps through the dressing and rest for two hours to marinate in the fridge.
  • Dice the avocado, tomato and cucumber together and place in cocktail glasses.
  • Top with the marinated shrimps and serve.
