Chocolate orange panacotta

An easy and delicious recipe.

  • 300g chocolate
  • 500ml cream
  • 8 egg yolks
  • 100g sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 orange zested
  • 100g sliced almonds


  • Melt the Chocolate over a double boiler or bain marie.
  • Beat the egg yolks and sugar and vanilla till the sugar is dissolved.
  • Heat the cream in a pan on a low heat till it boils.
  • When the cream starts to boil add it to the melted chocolate then add the egg yolk and vanilla mixture.
  • Stir out the bubbles on the stove over a low heat until the mixture starts to thicken.
  • Pour the mixture into ramekins and place them in a tray half filled with water then into an oven set at 100C and bake for 30min
  • Remove from the oven chill top with toasted almonds and serve.
