Chocolate brownie topped with fresh summer berries

Dessert Please!

  • 350g dark chocolate
  • 300g milk chocolate to make chocolate garnish
  • 100g coco powder
  • 8 eggs
  • 350g cream
  • 100g butter
  • 100g flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • 200g brown sugar
  • Punnet of blackberries, gooesberries and strawberries to garnish


  • Melt the chocolate over a double boiler.
  • In a separate bowl cream the sugar and butter add the eggs then add the coco powder and flour and fold through the mixture till properly mixed.
  • Pour in the chocolate and fold through.
  • Butter a baking dish and dust with coco powder before pouring the chocolate mix into the dish.
  • Place in a preheated oven set at 140C and bake for 40 minutes remove from the oven and cool.
  • Pace the rest of the chocolate in the double boiler and melt.
  • Drizzle shapes onto parchment paper for garnish.
  • Using a pastry cutter cut disks out of the finished cooled brownie and garnish with fresh berries and chocolate shapes to finish before serving
