EDITOR'S NOTE

Hopefully the March edition will grab your attention to some good articles which will keep you riveted to your phone or laptop.

Catchcook.com is geared to the serious saltwater angler and outdoorsman/hunter around Southern Africa and at times beyond. That means fishing off-shore, reefs, lagoons and beaches, hunting and foraging in the harshest of terrains that Africa has to offer.

We publish weekly articles to our readers who are generally well educated and affluent and who have a passion for these sports and who practice conservation and sustainable ethics. Not only do we bring you the best in angling, but we compliment our articles with the latest gear to hit the retail market as well as mouth-watering recipes.

As we strive for a mixture of genres that compliment the catchcook.com YouTube series, in this March edition the focus is on saltwater fishing where we focus on topics such as fish recipes, targeting Black Musselcracker off Mossel Bay, fishing abroad for exotic species in Columbia, the wheelchair angler, the latest from the Kwazulu Natal region, a special on Women in Fishing as well as the recent Sardine Run phenomena in Lambertsbay.

Hopefully the March edition will grab your attention to some good articles which will keep you riveted to your phone or laptop, if you are keen to win a sublimated Catch Cook shirt, supply  our editorial team with useful information and content on either fishing, hunting, diving, spearfishing, foraging or your delicious recipes and complement it with images, videos and GoPro footage.

The top articles on each genre will be published in the upcoming editions, please email all content and pictures to lynton@catchcook.com

As the tuna season is approaching us off Cape Point we will be exploring the art of jigging for tuna in our next edition. So remember, limit your catch, don’t catch your limit, save our seas and environment for the generations to follow.
