THE BIRDS & THE BEASTS

I firmly believe the solunar theory to be your best prediction at a good day’s fishing.

I’ve come up with a crazy theory that has improved my catch rate, maybe it will work for you too. I spend a lot of time in my workshop, manufacturing lures & thinking about fishing. My workshop being peacefully nestled within a green bushy vale on the South coast of KwaZulu Natal. One thing I noticed was a correlation between garden weaver birds and fish activity. I am a firm believer in the solunar theory (which is a theory that the fish and other animals are more active during solar and lunar transits). I noticed on some mornings that the garden birds were very active, whistling, flying around tweeting,
and chirping actively and will suddenly come to an end as if a switch was flipped.

On one such morning, I wasn’t going to go fishing but however, I quickly changed my mind because the birds were being active, I grabbed my gear and went down to the beach on a fishing mission and managed to land and safely release two Garrick on plugs.

And documented me as proof on this one.

I firmly believe the solunar theory to be your best prediction at a good day’s fishing.
